SUHSD Teachers, you are invited to a hands-on technology conference designed and conducted by our own SUHSD teachers.  Here is your chance to discuss, learn and practice in a supportive, hands-on environment.  Sign-up only for the sessions you want.  Space is limited.  You will be paid for each session you attend.  Sorry... you can not be paid for breakfast, lunch or breaks.
Chromebooks will be provided if you need one, but it is encouraged to bring your own.

Illuminate has released the brand NEW ItemBank X! In this session, you will learn how to build & administer assessments in a streamlined & much easier way. Your possibilities are endless! Teaching in the classroom within Illuminate to receive data which informs instruction has never been easier. Student growth in both content & technology will soar.

Objectives:
  • Overview – me just telling them why we took 23 pages down to 1 and how it is beneficial to them
  • A short video of why it is awesome to be proactive and get data often and early
  • Build an IBX Instructional Assignment – how to quickly and easily build one to use in class for teaching purposes.  If they know how to do this, they will know how to build one out for an assessment.  It’s a different spin on the usual assessment building and I feel it is one teacher’s not only like, but it is valuable.
  • Data à Work on What the Student’s DON’T Know - I will let them into my account in order to play with the data I have already populated and show them how I have seen it best used in the classroom with the students.
  • Pre-Built Reports – how to find, run and export these.
  • Now You Build One! – Time permitting, I will let them work on creating a short 5 question assignment while I walk around, help and answer questions.
  • Flexible Assessments – Talk about the purpose and show them how.
